Food product returns
Because many Lekkergoed products are food items, we cannot accept returns of opened, used, tampered-with, or improperly stored products unless the product is defective, unsafe, incorrect, or not as described.
Please keep packaging, labels, batch details, and photos where possible. This helps us investigate quality or delivery issues quickly.
Defective, unsafe, incorrect, or damaged goods
If you receive a defective, unsafe, incorrect, damaged, or materially different product, contact us at orders@lekkergoed.co.za as soon as possible with your order number and photos.
Where required by law, we will offer the appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, refund, repair where relevant, or another lawful solution.
Change-of-mind returns
For food safety reasons, we generally do not accept change-of-mind returns on perishable or opened food products.
For non-perishable, unopened, unused items, contact us before sending anything back so we can confirm whether a return is possible and what condition the item must be in.
Cancellations
If online checkout is active, you may request cancellation before an order is packed, dispatched, or prepared for collection.
Once a food order has been packed, dispatched, prepared, or collected, cancellation may not be possible unless required by law.
Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method where possible.
Bank and payment provider processing times can vary, so the refund may not reflect immediately after we process it.
Return shipping
If the return is due to our error, a defective product, damage in delivery, or another issue for which we are responsible, we will guide you on the return or replacement process.
If a return is approved for another reason, the customer may be responsible for safe return delivery costs unless the law requires otherwise.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act.
